The mission of The Avenue Bakery is to offer distinctive homemade and exclusive rolls, pastries and beverages to our valued customers in the Baltimore and surrounding areas. as well as promoting and advocating for other black-owned businesses to come back to our historic community to make it once again the cultural and economic hub of our community. Every spring and summer, The Avenue Bakery works to engage the community in the arts by way of its signature Courtyard Music Series. These events have attracted legendary musicians to perform in a festive-like atmosphere. It’s free to the public.
A retiree of United Parcel Service with more than 35 years of service. Mr. Hamlin gained extensive experience and mastered all phases of business administration; including Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, Operations Management, Workforce Planning, Training and Development and Corporate Communications. Prior to his retirement He served as the District Community Relations and Congressional Awareness Manager for eight years. His responsibilities included developing relationships and forming part-nerships with many organizations while implementing numerous initiatives to fulfill UPS’ Community Mission.
